HE LIVED AT 28 , WRIGHT STREET, HULL (HULL DAILY MAIL 25/08/1916) HE LEFT £221 IN HIS WILL TO HIS MOTHER, MRS MARY JANE PREST, OF46 CONEY STREET, YORK. SHE DIED IN YORKSHIRE, ON 28/12/1920, LEAVING £10,244 IN HER WILL.

HE IS BURIED AT AUTHUILE MILITARY CEMETERY, AUTHUILLE, SOMME. HIS GRAVE INSCRIPTION, READS, "HE GIVETH HIS BELOVED SLEEP".
