HE JOINED THE ROYAL NAVY, ON 07/02/1912. DESCRIBED AS 5 FOOT 5 INCHES TALL, BLUE EYES, DARK BROWN HAIR, SMALL SCARS ON FOREHEAD. WAS LEADING SEAMAN, ON HM COASTAL MOTOR BOAT, NO:62. KILLED DURING THE ATTACK ON KRONSTADT HARBOUR, RUSSIA, ON 18/08/1919, AGED 22. HE IS COMMEMORATED ON THE PORTSMOUTH NAVAL MEMORIAL, HAMPSHIRE.
