BORN HORNSEA 1899. ONLY SON OF WILLIAM FOWLER & ELIZABETH BARKER, AT SOUTHGATE, HORNSEA (WAR PENSION ADDRESS). EDUCATED AT HULL GRAMMAR SCHOOL. HE HAD ONE ELDER SISTER, MARIA.

HE ENLISTED IN HORNSEA. POSTED AS PRIVATE, 3235, LINCOLNSHIRE YEOMANRY. TRANSFERRED TO THE 10TH ESSEX REGIMENT. KILLED IN ACTION, ON 02/09/1918, AGED 19. COMMEMORATED ON THE VIS-EN-ARTOIS MEMORIAL, FRANCE.

HIS NAME IS RECORDED ON THE HULL GRAMMAR SCHOOL WW1 MEMORIAL.
