EMIGRATED TO BRIGHTON, ONTARIO, CANADA IN 1911. WORKED AS A FARMER. DESCRIBED AS 5 FOOT, 6.5 INCHES TALL, 34-37 INCH CHEST, BLUE EYES, BROWN HAIR, PRESBYTERIAN RELIGION.

ENLISTED IN CANADA, ON 05/09/1914. SERVED AS LANCE CORPORAL, WITH THE 2ND CANADIAN EXPEDITIONARY FORCE. KILLED INSTANTLY BY A SHELL, ON 07/10/1916, AGED 21.

L/Cpl Stanley HARE, 8332, born in Hull, Yorkshire, 22 October 1895. He was Roman Catholic and his occupation was farmer. He was killed near Courcelette, Somme, on 7 October 1916. His Next of Kin was his mother, Mrs. Walter HARE who lived in Brighton, Ontario.
