Born Hull, 1880. Fourth son of Charles & Jane Tereasa Rawson (1844-1891). Son of a Hull Master Mariner.
Brother to Thomas Rawson, of Britannia Cottage, Air Street, Hull.
Married Christina Crawley, at Hull, 1907. He was employed as a Waiter at the Hotel Majestic, Harrogate.
Enlisted at Harrogate. Formerly 33731, West Yorks. Transferred to the 1/7th Duke of Cambridge's Own (Middlesex) Regiment.
Died of wounds, 18 Aug 1917, aged 37.
Buried Belgium. His grave inscription reads, "LOVED LONG SINCE BUT LOST AWHILE".
His army effects were left to his widow, Christina and three children, of 36, Providence Terrace, Harrogate, Yorkshire (war pension address)
