BORN HULL. HIS PARENTS LIVED AT 2, CHURCH TERRACE, ST PAUL STREET, HULL.
HE ENLISTED IN THE HULL PALS. TRANSFERRED TO THE 1/4TH EAST YORKSHIRE REGIMENT. DIED OF DYSENTERY WHILST A PRISONER OF WAR, ON 01/10/1918, AGED 32. BURIED IN WORMS, GERMANY.
HE WAS PICTURED IN THE HULL DAILY MAIL, ON 10/09/1918. *
HIS ARMY EFFECTS WERE LEFT TO HIS WIDOW, EDITH DAVISON AND THEIR SON JOHN, AT 6, WATERLOO PLACE, JOHN STREET, HULL & 64, NORNABELL STREET, HOLDERNESS ROAD, HULL (WAR PENSION ADDRESS). HIS WIDOW RE-MARRIED.
