BORN HULL. SON OF MARY BARTHOLOMEW, OF 14, NEW ZEALAND TERRACE, PROVIDENCE ROW, HULL AND 16, OXFORD STREET, WINCOLMLEE, HULL (WAR PENSION ADDRESSES).
HE ENLISTED HULL. SERVED AS A ROYAL FIELD ARTILLERY GUNNER. POSTED TO FRANCE, 21/05/1915. WOUNDED AND DISCHARGED ON 18/04/1916. DIED OF WOUNDS, ON 06/10/1918, AT NO: 56 CASUALTY CLEARING STATION, FRANCE.
HIS ARMY EFFECTS WERE LEFT TO HIS MOTHER, MARY.
HE WAS THE BROTHER OF MRS MOORS AT 655, SPRING BANK WEST, HULL.
HIS DEATH WAS REPORTED IN THE HULL DAILY MAIL, ON 19/11/1918.
