HE RESIDED AT 1, THORNHILL AVENUE, BOURNEMOUTH STREET, HULL (THIS ADDRESS IS FROM THE 1914 ELECTORAL RECORDS).

HE ENLISTED IN SHEFFIELD. SERVED WITH 7TH EAST YORKSHIRE REGIMENT. DIED IN ACTION, ON 18/09/1918, AGED 19.

HE IS COMMEMORATED ON THE VIS-EN-ARTOIS MEMORIAL.

HIS NAME IS INSCRIBED ON THE PILLARS AT ST MARY'S CHURCH, SCULCOATES LANE, HULL.
