HIS UNMARRIED WIFE WAS MISS MAUD LOUISA WOYEN, AT 2, DE LA POLE TERRACE, BEAN STREET, HULL AND 26, PARADISE PLACE, COMMEMRCIAL ROAD, HULL (WAR PENSION ADDRESSES)

HE ENLISTED AT HULL. SERVED AS A GUNNER, IN THE 29TH ROYAL FIELD ARTILLERY. KILLED IN ACTION, AT YPRES, ON 24/08/1916, AGED 27. COMMEMORATED ON THE YPRES MENIN GATE, BELGIUM.

HE LEFT BROTHERS, ERNEST, HAROLD AND HERBERT AND SISTER LILY.

HIS BROTHER, PRIVATE, OLIVER ELLIOTT, 455, SERVED WITH THE 1ST EAST SURREY REGIMENT AND WAS KILLED TWO YEARS AFTER HIM ON 23/08/1918 AGED 37. BURIED AT ADANAC MILITARY CEMETERY, MIRAUMONT, FRANCE.
