BORN HULL 1897. ONLY CHILD OF JAMES WILLIAM EVISON  (1876-1944) & ALICE MAUD EVISON (1877-1958), OF, 2, CROSSLAND AVENUE, HOLLAND STREET, HULL (WAR PENSION ADDRESS). SON OF A LIGHTERMAN, WORKING ON THE RIVER HULL.

HE ENLISTED IN HULL. FORMERY, 32838, EAST YORKSHIRE REGIMENT. TRANSFERRED TO THE 13TH EAST LANCS REGIMENT. KILLED IN ACTION, ON 01/10/1918, AGED 20. BURIED AT LE GRAND BEAUMART BRITISH CEMETERY, STEENWERCK. HIS GRAVE INSCRIPTION, READS, "GREATER LOVE HATH NO MAN THAN THIS"

NOTE: WILFRED EVISON LIVING AT 5 MADDISON GARDENS, PARK AVENUE, HULL. GEORGE EVISON, ASC, AT 129, PERTH STREET HULL; OTHER EVISONS AT 221a, BOULEVARD, HULL.
