TRANSFERRED TO 60275, NORTHUMBERLAND FUSILIERS. DIED ON 24/08/1918, AGED 19. HIS ARMY EFFECTS WERE LEFT TO HIS FATHER, JAMES.
BURIED AT MERVILLE COMMUNAL CEMETERY, FRANCE. THE INSCRIPTION ON HIS GRAVE, READS, "SON OF S.A.FISHER OF HULL HE DIED FOR THOSE HE LOVED AND RECEIVED EVERLASTING GLORY".
