RESIDED IN HULL AT 24, CLIFTON STREET, HULL, WITH WITH SISTER. HE WORKED AS A BAKER.
HE SERVED IN THE 16TH ROYAL ARMY SERVICE CORPS. HE DIED OF INFLUNZA, IN ITALY, ON HIS WAY HOME, ON 17/09/1918, AGED 52.
HE IS BURIED AT TARANTO TOWN CEMETERY EXTENSION, ITALY. HIS GRAVE INSCRIPTION, READS, "TO BE WITH CHRIST WHICH IS FAR BETTER R.I.P."
HE IS REMEMBERED AS HAROLD FOX ON THE ST MARY'S ROLL OF HONOUR, LOWGATE, HULL.
