BORN HULL 1877. HE WAS THE STEP SON OF THOMAS FARROW AND SARAH ANN FARROW OF INGMYERS YARD, WELTON, EAST YORKSHIRE, WHERE HE WORKED AS AN AGRICULTURAL LABOURER (1911 CENSUS).

HE MARRIED AT WELTON, ON 13 MAR 1916. HIS WIFE MARY AGNES DENT, A DRESSMAKER, ALSO LIVED AT INGMYERS YARD, WELTON (WAR PENSION ADDRESS).

HE ENLISTED AT WELTON. SERVED WITH THE 1/6TH AND 20TH NORTHUMBERLAND FUSILIERS. KILLED IN ACTION, ON 01/10/1916, AGED 39. BURIED AT RATION FARM MILITARY CEMETERY, LA CHAPELLE-D'ARMENTIERES, NORD, FRANCE.

HIS GRAVE INSCRIPTION, READS, "IN GOD'S CARE AND KEEPING UNTIL WE MEET AGAIN".
