BORN HULL 1885. ONLY SON OF JOHN WILLIAM JACKSON (1848-1896) AND ELIZABETH BEE (1855-1937). BROTHER TO ADA AND ELIZABETH JACKSON. A LOCAMOTIVE ENGINE CLEANER. HIS MOTHER MARRIED STEPHEN EMBLEY AND LIVED AT 15 WHARNCLIFFE STREET, HULL. HE ENLISTED IN HULL. SERVED AS PRIVATE, 4866, 1/4TH EAST YORKSHIRE REGIMENT. WAS KILLED IN ACTION, ON 01/10/1916, AGED 30. HIS ARMY EFFECTS WERE LEFT TO HIS BROTHER IN LAWS, JOHN STANSFIELD AND EDWARD SCOTT. HE IS BURIED AT BAZENTIN-LE-PETIT COMMUNAL CEMETERY EXTENSION, SOMME, FRANCE.
