BORN GRIMSBY,1888. SON OF GEORGE WILLIAM MCKEE (1857 - 1915) & SARAH HARRIET WHITE, OF 1 CALIDARE AVENUE, BRIGHTON STREET, HULL. ONE OF THREE BROTHERS KILLED IN THE WAR. HIS WIFE ELIZABETH DAISEY MCKEE & TWO DAUGHTERS, LIVED 13A GUINNESS BUILDINGS, BERMONDSEY. A FORMER DOCKSIDE LABOURER. HE SERVED AS LANCE CORPORAL, 12000, 'B' COMPANY, 7TH NORFOLK REGIMENT. HE WAS KILLED AT LOOS, ON 03/10/1915, AGED 27 AND IS COMMEMORATED ON THE LOOS MEMORIAL TO THE MISSING.

HIS BROTHER, BOMARDIER, GEORGE WILLIAM MCKEE, ROYAL FIELD ARTILLERY, WAS KILLED ON 28/05/1917, AGED 35.

ANOTHER BROTHER, LANCE CORPORAL, THOMAS HENRY MCKEE, 9TH ESSEX REGIMENT, WAS KILLED IN ACTION ON 02/02/1918. THEY LEFT SISTERS, ANNIE, FLORENCE, SARAH, ETHEL AND YOUNGEST BROTHER, RICHARD.
