BORN HULL 1894. THIRD SON OF HARRY & AGNES MATILDA RUSHTON AT THIS ARMY ADDRESS. ONE OF FIVE SONS AND A SISTER LILLIAN MAY RUSHTON. A FORMER PAINTS WORK LABOURER. ENLISTED HULL 08/09/1914. HIS ARMY RECORDS DESCRIBE HIM AS 5 FOOT 5.5 INCHES TALL, 116 LBS, 34 INCH CHEST, GREY EYES, BROWN HAIR, FRESH COMPLEXION. ARRIVED FRANCE 13/05/1915. REPORTED WOUNDED AND MISSING IN ACTION 24/08/1918, AGED 24. UNMARRIED. HIS ARMY EFFECTS WERE RETURNED TO BOTH PARENTS.
