HE ENLISTED IN HULL. SERVED WITH THE 1ST EAST YORKSHIRE REGIMENT. KILLED IN ACTION, ON 24/08/1918, AGED 19.

UNMARRIED. HIS ARMY EFFECTS WERE LEFT TO HIS FATHER, JOHN ROBERT SISSONS.

HE IS BURIED AT REGINA TRENCH CEMETERY, GRANDCOURT, SOMME, FRANCE. HIS GRAVE READS, "UNTIL THE DAY BREAK AND THE SHADOWS FLEE AWAY".
