DIED OF WOUNDS, ON 16/10/1917, AGED 35 . HIS ARMY EFFECTS WERE LEFT TO HIS WIDOW SARAH TURNER, OF NORTH FRODINGHAM, DRIFFIELD.
HIS SERVICE RECORDS STATE THAT HE WAS BORN IN HULL. HE IS BURIED AT ZUYDCOOTE MILITARY CEMETERY, NORD, FRANCE. HIS GRAVE INSCRIPTION, READS, "HUSBAND OF SARAH TURNER, NORTH FRODINGHAM DRIFFIELD, EAST YORKS."
