Born Hull, 1874. Son of Stable and Frances Cussons. Son of a railway Guard.
He married Alice Briighten (born 19 June 1873), at Hull in 1903. Husband of Alice at 160, Thoresby Street, Prince Avenue Hull (Army address) and 28, Newsted Street, Hull (War pension address). They had three children, Elsie, Gilbert and Harold, born between 1905-1915. He was a trained Carpenter and Joiner, for TP Ketterwells, Trinity Square, Hull.
Enlisted in the 2n Northumbrian Artillery, on 30 June 1908. Posted to France, on 5 Aug 1914. Promoted and transferred to several Artillery Brigades, including 62nd Reserve Battery. Discharged with a Dudenal Ulcer on 30 Nov 1917. Awarded the Silver War Badge (No:274701). Served in the army for 8 years and 154 days.
Died at Hull, on 10/09/1924, aged 50
