Background

Jack Watson was a well known Hull Fisherman. He worked for 15 years with the St Andrew's Fishing Company. He was washed away, on the Steam Trawler "Electric", and drowned with Joseph William Pettman, on 18/09/1916. Jack Watson left a widow and five children (three under 14), living at 13 Crown terrace, Walcott Street. His death was reported in the Hull Daily Mail, on 29/09/1916, with his photograph.
