HE MARRIED CATHERINE LARVIN IN 1913. THEY LIVED AT 13, HARDINGS SQUARE, NEW GEORGE STREET, HULL AND 36, WEST STREET, HULL, WITH THEIR DAUGHTER MARY, BORN ON 14/8/1913 (WAR PENSION RECORDS).
HE ENLISTED HULL, ON 23/11/1914. FORMERLY, PRIVATE, 672 AND 80560, EAST YORKSHIRE REGIMENT. TRANSFERRED TO THE NORTHUMBERLAND FUSILIERS. DIED ON 09/09/1917, AGED 36. HE IS COMMEMORATED ON THE THIEPVAL MEMORIAL TO THE MISSING .
HIS ARMY EFFECTS WERE RETURNED TO HIS WIDOW, CATHERINE.
