ENLISTED IN BIRMINGHAM. EX 19896 GLOUCESTERS. TRANSFERRED TO THE 1ST WORCESTER REGIMENT. DIED OF WOUNDS, ON 27/08/1918, AGED 34. UNMARRIED. HIS ARMY EFFECTS WERE LEFT TO HIS MOTHER, RUTH
BURIED AT TERLINCTHUN BRITISH CEMETERY, WIMILLE. HIS GRAVE INSCRIPTION, READS, "BELOVED SON OF RUTH & THE LATE MOSES BOND BIRMINGHAM HE DIED THAT WE MIGHT LIVE"
