BORN HULL 1891. SON OF MARY JANE & GEORGE WILLIAM HOWLETT. HUSBAND TO ALICE MAUD HOWLETT. LOST ON THE FISHING VESSEL 'ST LAWRENCE', ON 03/10/1914, AGED 23.

On September 30th, 1914, the British steel trawler ST. LAWRENCE departed Iceland for Hull with fish and went missing with all on board. She was not heard of ever since. Believed to have struck a mine;
