BORN HULL 1897. SON OF THOMAS WILLIAM O'KEY (1867-1937) AND  EMMA O'KEY (1868-1954), OF 5 MELROSE AVENUE, WENLOCK STREET, HULL (1918 ABSENT VOTERS ADDRESS). HE HAD TWO BROTHERS, AND TWO SISTERS. EMPLOYED AS A PICTURE FRAMER.

HE ENLISTED IN HULL. FORMERLY, PRIVATE, 141141, EAST YORKSHIRE REGIMENT. TRANSFERRED TO THE 13TH LIVERPOOL REGIMENT. KILLED IN ACTION, ON 21/08/1918, AGED 22.

HE IS BURIED AT RAILWAY CUTTING CEMETERY, COURCELLES-LE-COMTE, PAS DE CALAIS, FRANCE. HIS GRAVE INSCRIPTION, READS, "HE DID HIS DUTY AND PASSED ON".
