On of the first to enlist, he served as Lieutenant, 9th Yorkshire Regiment and died at Gallipoli, on 7th August 1915, aged 27. He had married a month before his death and moved to Armley, Leeds.<\/p>\n<p>Also, <strong>Private, Joseph Thompson, 33211, 7th East Yorkshire Regiment. Killed in action on 30\/03\/1918, aged 38<\/strong>. He was an Elementary School Teacher, living with his wife Anne and four children at 155, Chanterlands Avenue, Hull.<\/p>\n<p>Also, <strong>Private, Arthur Ernest Smith, 55043, 3rd East Yorkshire Regiment.<\/strong> Awarded the Silver War Badge and discharged in 1918. He died in Hull, of bronchitis, on 33\/03\/1919, aged 37. He was a school teacher and School Master, employed by the Hull Education Committee and lived at 53, Hardy Street, Hull with his wife Alice, and two sons.<\/p>\n<p>Also, <strong>Sergeant, Ferdinand Klein, 291229, 3rd\/10th Bn., Middlesex Regiment, died of wounds, on 15\/10\/1917, aged 33<\/strong>. Born in Hull. Son of Ferdinand and Fanny Klein, of Hull; husband of Annie Klein, of 190, Blenheim Street, Hull.
