He was 22 years old and lived at 118 York Street.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #282829; font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 19px; line-height: 22px;\">Pte,&nbsp;<\/span><strong style=\"color: #282829; font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 19px; line-height: 22px;\">Cornelius Bird<\/strong><span style=\"color: #282829; font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 19px; line-height: 22px;\">&nbsp;died as a Turkish Prisoner of War. He had been captured at Gallipoli serving with the 6<\/span><sup style=\"color: #282829; font-family: Arial, sans-serif; line-height: 22px;\">th<\/sup><span style=\"color: #282829; font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 19px; line-height: 22px;\">East Yorkshire Pioneers in 1915. He died in 1917 aged 20 and is buried in Baghdad.
