Pulford, George William

Lost on the steam ship “Era”, on 11/07/1916, aged 29. Left wife and daughter at 46 Green Lane, Hull. His wife was daughter oh Mr S.J. Buffey, a well known Hull Fruitier. Before the war, he worked for Groves Oil Mill, Hull and served as a cook on the “Elucide”. His death was reported in the Hull Daily Mail, 27/06/1916, with his photograph, and his two brothers, who were also oil millers before the war. His death was not listed in CWGC records.

His brother, John Pulford wwas killed in 1916.
